Application for Educational Benefits
Families at Wabasha-Kellogg Public Schools can now complete the Application for Educational Benefits (formerly known as the Free and Reduced Lunch form) online through the JMC Parent Portal.
While the Minnesota Free School Meals Program provides all students with one free breakfast and one free lunch each school day, families are still strongly encouraged to complete this application. Qualifying households may be eligible for additional benefits, including reduced fees for school activities, athletics, and other programs. In addition, completed applications help the district secure important education funding, discounts, and support for meal programs.
How to Apply
Families have two options for completing the Application for Educational Benefits:
Option 1: Paper Application
There are two ways to fill out the form. One is by printing off the application. (Coming Soon!)
Option 2: JMC Parent Portal (Recommended)
Families may find it easier to complete the application online through the JMC Parent Portal or the JMC mobile app.
To access the form:
- Log in to your JMC Parent Portal account
- Click “More” in the left-hand menu
- Select “Meal Benefits”
- Complete and submit the application

Completing this form helps ensure your family receives all eligible benefits while also supporting important resources for Wabasha-Kellogg students and programs.
